Since the owners wanted this little apartment to offer the comfort of a decent living, architect Allen Killcoyne has focused on the integration of all functional spaces needed – the kitchen, a place for dining, sleeping or working areas. There haven’t been omitted the storage areas so that, finally, the small studio to become an ideal home for the next tenants.
Basically, in just one room, the architects have relied on various practical solutions that enable them to effectively shape all the necessary functions in an apartment. The sleeping space is delimited from the living area by a partition panel. Otherwise, all other areas communicate with each other.
Starting from the small kitchen and continuing to the bedroom areas, they are all airy without the space to seem cluttered or loaded with furniture. As you’ll notice in the pictures in the gallery, artificial light plays an essential role in highlighting the area and creating different scenarios. One thing is certain: predominantly white walls with natural light amplify the room; an important detail that can not be ignored in any arrangement, more so in a small space.
Cabinets are embedded and provide generous storage for the owners’ needs, both in the kitchen, in the living room and the office, and in the bedroom, as a dressing for the clothes.
The interior design follows a minimalist line, with natural wood essences that warm up the air space and gives a welcoming touch. Small decorations bring a splash of color in a context that might seem slightly dull.
We hope this interior design to inspire you and to find useful solutions for your house whatever surface you have at your disposal!
